Freestyle Libre 3

The Freestyle Libre 3 CGM System is the perfect device for diabetics, providing you with continuous glucose readings automatically delivered to your smartphone. 

It is the smallest, most discreet sensor yet that effectively measures the glucose concentration in the body’s interstitial fluid day and night. 

The sensor can be worn for up to 14 days and is water-resistant, continuing to work when you shower, swim or exercise. 

Directions

The first thing you need to do is download and set up the app. Once you have set up the app on your smartphone you can apply the sensor. 

Wash the area where you want to apply the sensor. Once dried, unscrew the cap of the sensor applicator and put it to one side. Place the sensor applicator over your arm. Push down firmly to put the sensor onto the back of your upper arm. Listen for the click and wait for a few seconds. Gently and slowly pull the sensor applicator away from your arm.

This means more people with type 1 diabetes qualify for Hybrid Closed Loop compatible systems like the FreeStyle Libre 3 sensor, which is authorised to work with the mylife Loop^ system.

Only use hybrid closed loop systems if the person or their carer understands and is able to use them, and is also attending a type 1 diabetes structured education programme.

Storage information

Store in a cool, dry place out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date, referring to the last day of the month stated on the packaging.
