Feeling unwell is one of the most distracting things in our already hectic lives. In that spirit, here’s a helpful guide to separate those medications out and find which is best for you.
General Pain Relief
What is it for?: Headaches, stomach aches, ear aches et cetera
What product do I need?: Paracetemol is by far the most common general pain relief medication out there on the market, and for good reason – it’s very effective. Look for Anadin, Nurofen and Curpofen.
Migraine Relief
What is it for?: Migraines and severe headaches
What product do I need?: You’ll want to kit yourself out with some max strength paracetemol, with both Nurofen and Anadin making excellent medication. Otherwise, investing in cooling forehead strips and a dark room in which to get some quiet is recommended.
Mouth Pain Relief
What is it for?: General mouth pain, teething and ulcers
What product do I need?: Anbesol do a very effective liquid which acts as a numbing agent inside the mouth to quieting the often constant noise of mouth pain. Our old friend paracetemol never hurts either.
Muscular Pain Relief
What’s it for?: Back aches, muscle strain, pulled muscles et cetera
What product do I need?: Ibuleve make an excellent, highly effective pain gel which, when applies to the area of muscle pain can effectively and quickly take the edge out of the pain.
Period Pain Relief
What’s it for?: Period pain
What product do I need?: There are a range of pain relief tablets made specifically for this problem, with Feminax producing a very popular tablet, as is the case with Femstrual. Failing that, paracetemol will work wonders
