True, these things tend to spread like wildfire and you may well think you’ve caught the flu yourself, but how do you know, and what can you do to battle it if you have influenza?

Feeling cold/having the chills
Sat around wondering why nobody else in the room is shivering? This is one of the first indicators that you’re coming down with a case of the flu.
Treatment: Plenty of liquids and blankets combined with cold & flu medicine to ease the pain
Coughing and sore throats
A relatively obvious one, as this is one of the more common transmission methods from person to person. Naturally, having a cough is not a sure fire sign of the flu, but it is a symptom.
Treatment: Liquids are a must, but remember to invest in high quality cough medicine to restore your voice and friends sanity.
Runny or stuffed nose
Neither is particularly appealing, and they’re sure to interrupt your sleep but at least they’re noticeable and can easily be treat with off the shelf medicine.
Treatment: Tissues. Well, tissues and sinus medicine.
Muscle or body aches
This is one of the more obvious signifiers to the flu, your body becomes heavy and seemingly aches from every given point, making it hard to get out of bed and on with your day.
Treatment: Good, old fashioned Paracetemol will usually do the trick, make sure you follow the instructions on the box.
Headaches and fatigue
Headaches are one of nature’s most annoying jokes, and they’re a fairly common occurrence when coming down with the flu, so don’t ignore them. Elsewhere, fatigue is a very common symptom, though that’s probably for the best given that you’re going to need to rest to get your strength back
Treatment: The Paracetemol should work well for this, but you’re going to need to be well rested in order to get your energy back.
